Dishonored (PS3)

...ehm... a review? .. It's a something, that's for sure.

Dishonored! This newest most fantastic game from Bethesda involves a super-powered assassin trying to clear his name and save the world! Or something like that.

In any case, I found the gameplay somewhat challenging, the controls tight and responsive, the graphics and audio powerful, and the story ... kind of lacking. For so much drama and build up for the first 60% of the game, the last 40%, including the ending (of which all 3 are terrible), leave you wanting for more connection and emotional engagement.

I'm not saying I didn't like the game, it owned me for a good four or five nights. It was fun to play, I will probably play it again in the future (or at least how people keep playing GTA, where you just hop in, tear some stuff up, and put the game away again). I just wish the writing had more powerful emotional connections to make you really feel for the characters.

Play it. Rent it if you can, I think buying it was probably a mistake for me.
